Tender description

This contract is for a Young Peoples Specialist Service to individuals with substance misuse who are resident of Bournemouth and under 25 years old. The Provider will assume responsibility for the specialist substance misuse treatment service to young people who are experiencing significant substance related harm which is impacting on their life and situation. Specialist Substance Misuse Treatment for young people includes both social care and health interventions that aim to facilitate change in substance misuse behaviour. The Provider will deliver provision to all under 18 year olds identified with substance misuse issues at the relevant level and a service to 18 — 25 year olds who have been identified as vulnerable adults and unable to access adult services. This Service is part of an integrated multi disciplinary young people's system and is required to work in partnership with statutory and non statutory organisations to achieve recovery that is meaningful for the individual receiving support/treatment, their family, social circle and the wider community. The Specialist Substance Misuse Treatment Service will play 2 distinct roles: 1. Supporting and enabling universal and targeted Children's and Youth Services to respond to substance misuse; and 2. Providing Specialist Substance Misuse Treatment to young people. The Contract start date is 1.4.2016. The length of the contract is for 3 years, plus a possible 2 year extension subject to funding and performance. The total final value of the contract shown in this Notice is an estimated amount based on the 2 year extension being taken, for the full 5 year contract term.
