Tender description
Following Business Case approval, DFID intends to publish a new competition opportunity early 2016 where we will be seeking partners to deliver programme components to the value of 44 000 000 GBP, 2016-20 as part of the cross-HMG funded and managed Pakistan Rule of Law Programme. DFID will be hosting an Early Market Engagement Event about these programme components and the services required from interested parties. These components will cover 2 areas of strengthening rule of law in Pakistan i) strengthening government leadership of reforms and improving criminal justice performance, and ii) strengthening public accountability and citizen engagement. The main objective of the Event is to obtain market views on how DFID can best support collaboration between Government of Pakistan, civil society, donors and implementing partners to deliver effective programming in this challenging sector, and to discuss other challenges and opportunities in the these programme areas. Delivery of these programme components will require suppliers to fulfil a range of functions including programme and funds management, technical design and implementation of projects/activities, delivery of technical support, knowledge management, human rights risk management and political engagement. The event will be in the form of a 2 hour session that will take place in DFID Pakistan, British High Commission, Islamabad with video conference link to DFID, 22 Whitehall, London, on Friday 29th January between 14:30 and 16:30 (9:30 — 11:30 UK time). DFID will present on its role as coordinator of the cross-HMG Pakistan Rule of Law Programme and on the DFID-managed components of the Programme (including proposed outputs and delivery channels). The discussion is to be focused on principles for effective Government of Pakistan/civil society/donor/implementing partner collaboration on strengthening rule of law in Pakistan, and we look forward to inputs from parties attending on this subject. Parties interested in attending the presentation or requiring any other information should register interest in this event via the DFID Supplier Portal. (https://supplierportal.dfid.gov.uk/selfservice/)Bidders interested in attending or requiring any other information should contact S-McGuire@dfid.gov.uk who is facilitating this process on behalf of DFID. DFID will send more information to those suppliers who register an interest in attending. We are happy to receive inputs or questions relevant to the discussion focus in advance of this event, which DFID will respond to at the event. The discussion headlines will also be published after the event on the Supplier Portal. We will not disclose the source of inputs, questions and answers. Due to space restrictions we request only 1 attendee per interested party. Please note that this is a prior information notice to advertise a Supplier Day.
