Tender description

South Tyneside Council (STC) is looking to conduct a procurement exercise which will result in the establishment of a Framework on behalf of NEPO Local Authorities and other NEPO Associate Members for the Supply & Delivery of Work Wear and Protective Clothing and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including Safety Footwear and Specialist Protection Wear which fully meets the requirements of Contracting Authorities. This agreement will also be made available to all NEPO Members Authorities. A list of NEPO Member Authorities is available at www.nepoportal.org This agreement will also be made available to all NEPO Associate Members. A list of the member organisations is available at http://www.agma.gov.uk/agma/authorities/index.html NEPO intends to make this Framework Agreement available for use by all UK Contracting Authorities including but not limited to Government Departments and their Agencies, Non-Departmental Public Bodies, Central Government, NHS Bodies, Local Authorities and any other body wholly owned or controlled by the Local Authority, Emergency Services, Educational Establishments and Registered Charities who have a need to purchase the above services. This may incur a fee. Any Organisation able to access this Framework will be referred to in the tender documentation as a Contracting Authority. The Framework will be available for use by all NEPO Authorities and Associate Members. There will be three lots on the Framework and each lot will be awarded to a single supplier. The Framework will be for 2 years with a possible extension of 2 years on a 12 month basis. The 3 lots are; Lot 1- Work Wear. Lot 2- Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including Safety Footwear. Lot 3 — Specialist Protection Wear.
