Supply of Equipment to Measure the physical properties of surfaces Measurement of the physical properties of surfaces and interfaces is key to understanding how liquids, gases and solids interact upon contact. In the first instance the measurement will provide information about how a solid is wetted by a particular liquid and secondly, enable material interactions to be optimised by understanding their fundamental hydrogen bonding, dispersion and polar forces present in dispersion processes. In addition, the ability to measure the properties of filled dispersions is also a key requirement. The equipment should measure multiple samples and be mounted to an x,y,z stage that is manoeuvrable and be flexible enough to accommodate samples of various dimensions as specified in the tender document. The ability to characterise surface properties quickly and automatically is essential for optimising dispersion processes and greatly enhances the dispersion capability within National Formulation Centre.
