Software Asset Management System

Tender description

The NHS Wales Informatics Service is seeking to procure a Software Asset Management System to support its management processes. The primary purpose of the system will be to manage the licenses of deployed software in order to ensure legal compliance and minimisation of value. The Key features that are required of this system are listed below; The ability to record the licences held by the organisation. The ability to ascertain what software is installed on an individual device (physically or virtually). A physical device may be a serve, laptop, desktop, PC, tablet computer or smart phone. The ability to reconcile the licensing and installed assets intelligently taking into account the licensing rules associated with individual pieces of software. Facilities for the interrogation and reporting of the information required. For full details and specifications please refer to Appendix B. In addition to the requirement for NWIS, an option will be retained for an additional licence of the software to be used by NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (an organisation also hosted by Velindre NHS Trust). This additional requirement will be purchased on an identical basis to the requirements set out within this ITT and specification as listed within Appendix B.
