Highways Term Maintenance - HM9 - Highways and Structures Minor Works July 2016 to June 2022

Tender description

The service will be at separate sites described in the Scheme Specific Task Order Information, located anywhere within the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton. Individual Task Orders will each be up to a maximum value of £150,000 as given in the Scheme Specific Works Information. Anticipated works type to be undertaken under the proposed service contract: a. Local Safety and Accident Reduction schemes including:
Traffic calming schemes – speed cushions, road humps, etc;
Uncontrolled crossings – pedestrian refuges, traffic signs, tactile paving and road markings for new crossings and upgrade of existing crossings;
Controlled crossings – Zebra crossings, PUFFIN Crossings and TOUCAN Crossings for new crossings and upgrade of existing crossings b. Junction Improvement schemes including:
Traffic signal junctions involving ducting, chambers, dropped crossings, tactile paving and road markings; priority junctions and roundabouts – upgrade and improvements c. Cycle route infrastructure schemes d. Bus Lanes and other Bus Priority Schemes including:
Bus stop infrastructure upgrades – including access kerbs, block paving, and road markings e. Site investigation – trial holes f. Street lighting modifications and other associated highway electrical works g. Surface treatment h. General footway works including repair and construction i. Minor soft landscaping works j. Concrete Repairs to highway structures k. Masonry Repairs to highway structures l. Fabrication & erection of steelwork m. Non-slip surfacing to highway structures n. Protective coatings to steelwork o. Safety fencing/parapet works p. Bridge deck waterproofing q. Confined Space Entry r. Traffic Management
