NOTE: This notice was updated on 29 July 2016 for the following reason: ****PLEASE NOTE - CLOSING DATE FOR TENDER IS NOW 26 AUGUST 12.00 NOON *****The works are to comprise of :- -Construction of an additional filter lane on the A464 from the Naird Roundabout approach onto M54 junction 4 circulatory. -Construction of an additional filter lane on the Priorslee Road approach onto the M54 junction 4 circulatory. -Construction of an additional filter lane on the Castlefarm Way approach onto the M54 junction 4 circulatory. -Implementation of two additional sets of traffic signals on the roundabout. a)adjacent to the splitter at the Castlefarm Way exit onto the M54 Junction 4 circulatory. b)adjacent to the splitter at the A464 exit onto the M54 Junction 4 circulatory. -Upgrade of footpaths to enhance pedestrian and cyclist movements. -Street lighting Upgrade. -Rationalisation and replacement of signs as required. -Replacement of the Vehicle Crash barriers where required. -The six ( non-motorway ) entry/ exits and circulatory of the roundabout will be resurfaced and the lining revised to accommodate the new traffic signals and crossing points.
