Tender description

Surrey Fire and Rescue (SRFS) currently has a provision for contingency crewing to meet the service requirement under the fire and rescue and civil contingencies acts, for the provision of service during industrial action or due to degradation of capability. This current provision supports specialist capability delivery on a day to day to meet rescue requirements. The current contract was a pilot scheme which was run as proof of concept. The pilot has been successful so now a tender is required for a modified version to incorporate Innovation, Income generation, Partnership Working, Value for Money and the expansion of the provision. Please note that while we tendered for 3 lots: lot 1 — Business Continuity, lot 2 — Resilience and lot 3 — Specialist Rescue for a contract term of 2 + 1 + 1 years, this contract was awarded based on an alternative bid. Consequently lot 2 was not awarded, only a variant bid for lots 1 and 3 at a combined value of 680 000 GBP
