Tender description

Industrial Biotechnology (IB) represents a significant opportunity for the Scottish economy in this rapidly expanding international market and good progress has been made in developing IB in Scotland following the launch of the National Plan for IB in 2013. However, there is a need to accelerate this activity, particularly with regard to the ‘Industry Engagement’ theme to assist in achieving the targets and milestones set within The National Plan for Industrial Biotechnology 2015-2025. SE wishes to secure relevant expertise to undertake the role of a ‘Network Integrator’ (NI) within the IB sector in Scotland. The NI will contribute to the delivery of the targets of the National Plan for Industrial Biotechnology and will be responsible for working with Scottish companies to raise awareness of the applications and benefits of IB, drive innovation, sustainability and investment with the ultimate aim of achieving economic growth for Scotland.
