Tender description

Works: The Contract is for the provision of 52 social housing units comprised of 10 No 5p/3b houses, 10 No 3p/2b houses, 26 No 3p/2b apartments and 6 No 2p/1b apartments. The work includes the requirement for site development and engineering works. The contract will be for approximately 24 months from date of award and is scheduled to start by the end of March 2016. It is expected that All units built under this contract will achieve ‘Secured by Design’ and ‘Lifetime Homes Accreditation’. The scope of the Bloomfield Road, Bangor project is the delivery of 52 social housing units: the scale of the Bloomfield Road, Bangor project is approx. 5 000 000 GBP and the complexity of the Bloomfield Road, Bangor project includes the construction of 20 houses and 2 blocks of apartments, comprising 52 residential units in total. The project includes provision of engineering services and external and site development works which achieve Secured by Design and Lifetime Homes standards. Initial ground investigations show that ground conditions are variable to depths of bedrock. We await further reports to determine ground conditions and contaminants. General Site Description: The site is located at the junction of Bloomfield Road and Lismore Avenue and extends to approximately 1,07 hectares in size. The land within is previously developed as 7 detached dwellings. All the buildings within the site are demolished and the land is overgrown. There were a number of entrances serving the former dwellings extending from the junction of Lismore Avenue along Bloomfield Road which are now redundant. Ground investigations: Initial ground investigations show that ground conditions are variable to depths of bedrock. We await further reports to determine ground conditions and contaminants. The successful Contractor(s) will be appointed under the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Short Contract (as amended). The Contractual Agreements shall incorporate all of the Competition Documents and Submissions. The formal contracts will be prepared and executed under seal between the successful Contractor(s) and Clanmil Developments Limited. Full details of the contracts will be set out in the Invitation to Tender Documents. Full technical drawings will be provided at ITT stage and Clanmil's z — clauses which will be used with the NEC3 contract are attached at appendix 1.
