Tender description

The Council is looking for ways to deliver services more efficiently and cost effectively. An opportunity has been identified for the Council to deliver these efficiencies through its Street Cleansing team by purchasing and installing litter bin sensors to allow the collection of data on fill rate and litter bin usage across the borough. This will hopefully allow for more optimised routes for the Street Cleansing operatives, which in turn will reduce fuel consumption and servicing cost of vehicles. The Council wishes to engage Suppliers of Litter Bin Monitoring Sensors: • To supply sensors • To install sensors • To host web based software for data to be collected and exported • To train Council staff to monitor the web based data • To provide quotes covering three different time periods and varying numbers of units Keywords: Litter Bins, Waste, Environment, Efficiency, Monitoring, Sensors
