The Design, Development, Support and Maintenance of a Public Website for An Garda Síochána

Tender description

An Garda Síochána wishes to develop a new high quality public website that will provide the public and stakeholders with easy and clear access to the wide-range of information available from An Garda Síochána. The website’s key objective is to ensure that critical public safety and crime prevention information and advice is provided to the public in a user-friendly way. The website is also a key channel for An Garda Síochána to communicate its activities, its objectives and how the organisation is changing. The project includes the provision of an effective content management system (CMS) which will facilitate a robust and secure method to easily manage, modify and update website content. The new website will have a contemporary user-centric design with intuitive navigation and site architecture, which will facilitate communication in innovative ways. The website and website CMS will provide a firm foundation for the further development of An Garda Síochána’s external online communications and enable the provision of information in user focused formats with appropriate, accessible and user friendly navigation, presentation and search capabilities. The new website and website CMS will enable An Garda Siochana to become self-sufficient to a large extent in the management and maintenance of its website and to become entirely self-sufficient as regards management of content. All source code for the website must be provided to An Garda Siochana and development works completed prior to final payment. Any restrictions imposed on the Intellectual Property or licensing of the source code should be declared in the tender.
