UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) helps businesses export and grow into global markets, and helps overseas companies locate and grow in the UK. UKTI operates in over 100 markets globally. To support its objectives, UKTI holds and participates in events and missions globally. UKTI requires services to support the delivery of a programme of targeted and innovative events and missions to increase the number of first time exporters by 100 000 the value of exports to £1 trillion and foreign direct investment (FDI) stock to 1 500 000 000 000 GBP by 2020. The UK is participating at Astana Expo 2017 in Kazakhstan from 10 June to 10 September 2017. The theme of the Expo is ‘Future Energy’ and the event aims to highlight issues around reducing CO2 emissions, living energy efficiency and energy for all. More than 70 nations are participating in the Expo including many of the UK's major political and trading partners. Astana Expo 2017 will offer a global platform to promote the UK's international agendas and showcase British innovation, creativity and global leadership. The UK Pavilion at the Expo is part Government funded and part sponsor funded. The project being led by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) as the Lead Partner Department. The UK will create a stand-out Pavilion inspired by the theme of ‘Future Energy’. The Pavilion will form the platform for the 3 month programme of business, cultural and thought leadership events. The Pavilion will be open across the period to the public from 9:30 — 21:30 each day, seven days a week for the period 10th June — 10th Sept. The Pavilion will predominantly be a public attraction however it is also planned that partners will be able to use some or all of the space on occasions to host events. The Pavilion will have a purpose built Conference Centre and VIP Lounge within the accommodation block. Further information about the expo can be found at https://expo2017astana.com/en/ UKTI is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers who are able to provide staffing for cleaning, security, catering, visitor guides, hosts, shift managers and events management to support to the UK Pavilion and events during the 2017 Astana Expo. If you are interested in providing the required services, please express an interest by emailing eventsprocurement@ukti.gsi.gov.uk with the following information: — Company name; — Contact details (email address, mobile number); — Capability to provide staff as detailed to Kazakhstan (i.e. where the staff are located, how you would recruit staff, how you would mobilise and maintain staff to the event etc.); — Experience of providing staff to exhibitions/events of this size; and — Experience of supplying relevant temporary staff to Kazakhstan or similar CIS States.
