Nadder Close Extra Care Home Project

Expressions of Interest (EOI) are invited from Building Contractors wishing to pre-register to tender for the proposed contract to carry out minor building alterations & refurbishment works at Nadder Close Care Home which is an in-use and occupied Sheltered Home in Tisbury, Wiltshire. The project has arisen so that the Sheltered Care home can be re-designated as an Extra Care Home as a consequence of the minor building alterations being carried out which include: ? Small extension to create an additional Day Room. ? Small extension to create a 2nd passenger lift, Refuse Store and Mobility Scooter Store. ? Internal conversions and refurbishment works. The forecast construction cost is £500,000.00. Wiltshire Council require the works to be undertaken as soon as possible and with this in mind the intent is that tenders will be issued on 22nd July to the firms that register an interest for this opportunity with the requirement that tenders are returned not later than 12:00 noon on 2nd September 2016. Works are expected to commence on site in October 2016 and be completed by April 2017. Tenderers must be able to demonstrate experience in refurbishment and alteration projects in existing occupied buildings, preferably elderly people’s homes. Keywords: Alterarions , extra care, works
