Mansfield District Council MDCT 16-0284 Security Services for Temporary Accommodation

Tender description

The tender is for the provision of an out of hour’s security service for 2 temporary accommodation schemes (hostels) for homeless families and vulnerable individuals. The service will include evenings between the hours of 5pm - 8am and weekends from Friday 5pm – Monday 8am and Bank Holidays (this is not exhaustive as additional hours may be required on very short notice as and when the need arises). There is a requirement for one static guard to remain on duty at one of the sites (Tideswell Court) for these required hours, and a patrol service for the other site (Stonecross Court) on a regular basis between the specified times given. There will also be a requirement for a second guard to be available as and when needed in order to assist with incidents. Additionally, to deal with out of hours emergency admissions for those being referred out of hours by the Council for accommodation and therefore key holder responsibilities will be necessary. The Temporary Accommodation is situated at 2 sites: Tideswell Court and Stone Cross Court. Tideswell Court, comprising of 32 units of accommodation is made up of a mixture of bedsits, 1 bed flats and a 3 bed house. There is also 1 3 bed flat further down the road. The number of units at Stone Cross Court is 12, these are all bedsits. The purpose of the schemes is to provide families and vulnerable individuals with accommodation in times of emergency and crisis. Therefore the people accommodated will be at a particularly low point in their life and be in need of a certain amount of support including a safe and secure environment for them and their family.
