Tender description
The BSA is insourcing payroll/administration services for the NHS Pension Scheme. This represents a revision in strategy from a previous PIN(2015/S 186-337145), in response to concerns that splitting pensioner payroll/administration may result in risks to service delivery, and feedback from the market at a subsequent boot-camp. BSA will then be in a position to consider the long term strategy for this service. A contract notice will not be published for such services. Details of the revised strategy can be accessed at: http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/5432.aspx BSA is hosting a briefing session on 22.8.2016 to explain its revised strategy (see above link for details). To deliver the insourcing, BSA will engage the current external service provider, Equiniti Paymaster (1836) Ltd (EP), to perform termination/post termination assistance, as it is contractually obliged to do. This will start before 22.7.2017, the contract expiry date, and is anticipated continue until approx. July 2018. See II.1.4) Short Description above and VI.3) Additional Information below.
