Individual Service Funds Service for Dorset

Dorset County Council are launching Individual Service Funds in Dorset, and are looking for expressions of interest for providers who are interested in working in this exciting person-centred way. Individual Service Funds are a way of delivering Personal Budgets that offer the choice and control afforded by Direct Payments, but without the financial responsibility. Instead of an individual holding their Personal Budget themselves, they choose an ISF Provider who will hold it on their behalf and work with them to develop their own support plan. ISFs offer a great degree of opportunity to work will people collaboratively and to deliver support and meet outcomes innovatively and flexibly. We are holding two information events for Providers: 01/08/16 9am – 11am Committee Room 1, County Hall, Dorchester 18/08/16 2pm – 4pm Merley Room, Hamworthy Club, Wimborne We aim to be able to offer ISFs to our customers from September 2016 onwards.
