Tender description

This contract is for the Supply of Liquefied fuel to the Councils' fleet depot. The Council has a fleet of vehicles which run on Compressed Natural Gas which are refuelled daily, the supplier must deliver Liquefied Fuel to the central refuelling station on a weekly basis and provide an emergency refill on an ad hoc basis. The initial contract is for 18 months with an option to extend for up to 30 months. Leeds City Council are looking for one supplier to provide natural gas to refuel a fleet of CNG vehicles consisting of up to 5 No. HGV refuse collection vehicles and a number of LCV'S. The average daily fuel consumption of each HGV is 60 kg and each LCV is 20 kg. The fuel capacity of the HGV is 640 litres WC and the LCV 220 litres WC. Each vehicle is fitted with an NGV1 receptacle recessed into a plastic housing with a screwed dust cover and the maximum refuelling pressure of the vehicles is 200 bar.g. Operational demands require that the vehicles are fully refuelled before leaving the depot each day.
