Tender description

To further both HECA and Affordable Warmth and to reduce the impact of cold, damp homes on the health of residents, Wirral Council requires a supplier to deliver support to fuel poor households in 4 Lower Super Output Areas (LSOAs) in the Borough which are the focus of selective licensing of the private rented sector (see Appendix 1 for location map). Wirral Council is part of the Liverpool City Region ‘Viridis Partnership’ which during 2015-16 will be procuring a free-phone telephone advice line for energy efficiency and fuel poverty-related advice. All activity delivered as part of this tender should promote this advice line as a single source of information for Wirral households. To further both HECA and Affordable Warmth and to reduce the impact of cold, damp homes on the health of residents, Wirral Council requires a supplier to deliver support to fuel poor households in 4 Lower Super Output Areas (LSOAs) in the Borough which are the focus of selective licensing of the private rented sector (see Appendix 1 for location map). Wirral Council is part of the Liverpool City Region ‘Viridis Partnership’ which during 2015-16 will be procuring a free-phone telephone advice line for energy efficiency and fuel poverty-related advice. All activity delivered as part of this tender should promote this advice line as a single source of information for Wirral households. To further both HECA and Affordable Warmth and to reduce the impact of cold, damp homes on the health of residents, Wirral Council requires a supplier to manage solid wall insulation grants for vulnerable households in the selective licensing Lowers Super Output Areas (LSOAs; see Appendix 1 for location map). For both the grant pot and any management costs, a budget of 110 000 GBP is secured for 2015/16 and 220 000 GBP is secured for 2016/17. Wirral Council is part of the Liverpool City Region ‘Viridis Partnership’ which during 2015-16 will be procuring a free-phone telephone advice line for energy efficiency and fuel poverty-related advice. All activity delivered as part of this tender should promote this advice line as a single source of information for Wirral households.
