Tender description

The Project is for the provision of Asbestos Surveying, ACM product treatment, removal and management regime in respect of our general needs housing, supported and sheltered housing, office buildings, commercial and leasehold properties located in the following Local Authority areas including Burnley, Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Halton, Hyndburn, Knowsley, Liverpool, Preston, Rossendale, Sefton, St Helens, Warrington, West Lancashire and Wirral to meet our regulatory requirements and to protect our tenants, employees, visitors, members of the public and contractors. Lot 1 — Asbestos surveys, air monitoring, analysis and management. 1 consultant to be appointed to undertake the following activities: Programme Management Surveys (Archetype/sample); Programme Management and Localised Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys (Planned Works); Reactive Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys (voids); Reactive bulk sampling; Air Monitoring reassurance testing; Upload electronic survey data etc. to external server; Provide policy, procedure and legal Advice and Training; Provision of reports and risk assessments as necessary; Provision of support for each survey or test; The provision of an emergency response following the unplanned release or discovery of asbestos containing materials to include removal of ACM, decontamination/clean up of affected areas and air testing; Liaise and work with LHT appointed asbestos contractor as necessary; Liaise and work with LHT appointed domestic contractors as necessary; Liaise and work with LHT tenants via email, letter or face to face as necessary. Lot 2 — Asbestos treatment and removal works 1 contractor to be appointed to undertake the following activities: The planned encapsulation of slightly damaged asbestos installations or asbestos which is likely to receive slight surface disturbance in the future. The planned removal of asbestos containing materials either in poor condition and presenting a significant risk, or is likely to be affected by planned maintenance, refurbishment or demolition works. The provision of an emergency response following the unplanned release or discovery of asbestos containing materials to include removal of ACM, decontamination/clean up of affected areas and air testing. Advice and training. Air monitoring reassurance test as part of the contract (Optional). Provision of reports and risk assessments as necessary. Liaise and work with LHT appointed asbestos contractor as necessary. Liaise and work with LHT appointed domestic contractors as necessary. Liaise and work with LHT tenants via email, letter or face to face as necessary.
