Please follow the instructions below to book your place at the event***** Somerset County Council is intending to commence a procurement process at the beginning of August 2016 for a service to support children and young people aged 5 - 18 years who have experienced sexual abuse and trauma in Somerset. Background The emotional and mental health of children and young people is a priority concern for Somerset. As part of Somerset’s commitment to the delivery of ‘Future in Mind – promoting, protecting and improving our children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing’ DoH 2015, Public Health is leading the commissioning process to set up an innovative service to support children and young people aged 5 - 18 years who have experienced sexual abuse that do not met the threshold of children and young people’s mental health services. This is a joint initiative between Public Health, Somerset County Council and Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group. Child sexual abuse changes childhoods. But so can we. This new service needs to reduce the negative impact child sexual abuse has on the lives of children and families living in Somerset. Market Engagement Event – Friday 29th July 2016 Interested providers are invited to attend a Market Engagement Event with Somerset County Council in Taunton. The event will be an opportunity to hear details about the service that is being commissioned and to ask any questions you may have. Due to the venue size, we have to restrict the number of representatives attending to one from each organisation. This notice does not represent a formal commitment by the Council to undertake a procurement procedure. Event Details Date: Friday 29th July 2016 Time: 11:00am – 1:00pm Location: Taunton.
