Tender description

This is a Prior Information Notice and not a call for competition. The Department intends to accept submissions from companies / organisations with interests in the provision of digital passport photographs. The Department envisages an arrangement whereby the photograph provider capture's a photograph in the normal way (e.g. through the use of a Photo Booth or other photograph capture solution typically used for acquiring passport portraits) and makes this photo available for digital collection by the Passport Service. It is anticipated that the photograph captured will be collected electronically by the Passport Service using secure channels and respecting Data Protection requirements.
