Tender description

Dover District Council (and on behalf of Canterbury City Council & Thanet District Council) is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor for the provision of gas servicing and heating installations. Management of the Council's social housing stock is delegated to East Kent Housing Ltd (EKH) and arms length management organisation (ALMO) set up and owned by Canterbury City Council, Dover, Thanet and Shepway District Councils, to manage their respective council social housing services and the successful contractor will work directly to and with East Kent Housing in the delivery of the contract. Completed pre-qualification questionnaire documents must be submitted electronically via the Kent Business Portal by no later than 17:00 on Friday 5.8.2016. Following the evaluation of the pre-qualification questionnaires the shortlisted contractors will be invited to tender. Important information: This contract notice is 1 of 2 notice published for this specific procurement. The need to publish a further and separate contract notice, is in regards there being a different categorisation of the requirement across the three authorities. Canterbury and Dover requirement categorised as Works. Thanet requirement categorised as Service. Whilst this is a joint procurement being led by Dover District Council on behalf of the identified local authorities, as the individual councils will contract directly the need to issue two contract notices is deemed necessary to reconcile the different categorisation of the individual requirements.
