Tender description

Construction of new river bridge to replace original structure which was demolished during a flood event in December 2015. The new structure consists of precast concrete box culvert units measuring 5.4m wide by 2.4m high and 7.5m long. 4 nr. precast concrete wingwalls each 3.9m long shall be constructed adjacent to the box culverts. The overall length of the new structure will be 14.0m. The parapet walls shall be clad in masonry. New blockwork and dry stone boundary walls shall be reconstructed to match existing The existing Local Road shall be realigned and reconstructed over a length of 40.0m. The existing riverbanks shall be reconstructed using rock armour. This tender was awarded to Paul Mulcair Ltd, Ballyengland, Askeaton, Co. Limerick
