Summary of the work This individual will be responsible for the design and implementation of Cloud Services inc IaaS, SaaS and related services. They will also be responsible for the deployment of a Cloud Printing solution. Specialist role Technical Architect Expected Contract Length 6 months Latest start date 7/8/16 Maximum Day Rate £550 pd Who Speclialist Work With work as part of the IT Transformation Programme team within Digital dept What Specialists Work On AWS/Azure Active Directory/Cloud Services Experience of deployment tools for cloud Experience of deploying/automating deployment of IaaS in AWS/Azure Experience deploying and configuring SaaS services Experience of utilising Azure active directory or other SSO and integrating this with Cloud services AD experience inc design, migration, fsmo, replication etc Strong Windows Server experience Linux server experience beneficial Experience of deploying Cloud Follow-me Printing solution standard office tools e.g. Trello, Google Apps, MS Office etc Can work well in a pressurised environment to strict timescales Experience of Agile working Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision Good communication skills Some travel required Skills & Experience • Aws • Azure • Azure AD • Windows Server • Cloud Printing Solution (follow me printing) Nice to Haves Linux Server Work Location 1 Victoria Street, London Working Arrangments normal office hours Security Clearance Baseline check, but SC preferred No. of Specialists to Evaluate 5 Cultural Fit Criteria • Work as a team with our organisation and other suppliers • Transparent and collaborative when making decisions Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 45% Cultural fit 10% Price 45% Questions from Suppliers 1. In the respect of the clearance required, it says candidates require baseline check but SC is preferred. Do you require people to be cleared already or will you be applying for the baseline and SC clearance for the candidates? As with all government roles clearance can be requested once the person is confirmed for a role, however those candidates that have already achieved those clearance levels will be at an advantage 2. Can we have a telephone briefing with regards to this role - We would like to understand more about the security element of the role and whether our Security Architects would be relevant for this role? No, a telephone briefing is not possible, only Questions and Answers. However, with regards this specific question we are looking for someone with a strong technical background in Networking who also has a good understanding of security design/considerations (frequently this is the case anyway)
