Please Note this Contract Award Notice refers to a Decision to Award a Contract and is not a Call for Competition. The Victoria and Albert Museum (‘V&A’) has appointed a supplier for the design, supply, installation and maintenance of a new audio-visual solution for a number of spaces used for learning and public events at its South Kensington site in London. The V&A has a wide programme of learning and public events which take place throughout the day and the evening. The V&A is looking to upgrade and refurbish the AV equipment in its most important public theatres — The Sackler Centre, the Learning Centre, and the Lecture Theatre. The V&A Learning Department has identified that the current AV equipment requires updating and is inviting suppliers to submit tenders for an upgrade programme worth 350 000 GBP (excluding ongoing revenue costs). The AV upgrade will future proof the audio visual quality for the V&A's audiences, whose expectations and numbers are constantly growing – e.g. the ability to conduct live streaming, video conferencing. The V&A is also seeking to procure AV technology that takes into consideration accessibility requirements for the V&A's visually and hearing impaired audiences.
