Summary of the work We are new membership organisation for the teaching profession, funded by the government but independent. We are currently developing our value proposition from scratch, which includes digital and physical offers, and we're looking for a user researcher to test and iterate our offer. Specialist role User researcher Expected Contract Length 4 months in the first instance Latest start date 18/07/16 Maximum Day Rate 400 Early Market Engagement We're done a few quantitative research pieces around what teachers are looking for. We're now looking to do qualitative research on a relatively large scale. Who Speclialist Work With We're building our agile team. In the first instance you'll be working within a multi disciplinary team including a technical architect/developer and a content designer, as well as service manager. What Specialists Work On Run user research for the organisation (potentially inc. hiring further user researchers if needed) supporting the delivery of physical and digital products. Skills & Experience • experience planning, designing and conducting in-house usability testing sessions to support the design and development of government services • experience leading the usability testing process from developing user recruitment briefs through to test moderation, analysis and report writing • experience conducting in-house research to test new product and concept developments • applying knowledge in human factors, ethnography, and the user-centered design process to product and service design in an iterative development environment • working closely with designers and developers to turn user data into actionable product/service requirements that feed into prototype development, and influence product direction Nice to Haves Managing day-to-day operations with a range of usability and market research agencies with accountability for schedules, value for money and deliverables Work Location 9-11 Endsleigh Gardens London WC1H0EH Working Arrangments Onsite 4 days a week. Potential travel to schools in London and outside.
