Rushmoor Borough Council is ready to move forward with the next stage of its ambitious digital advertising strategy and to capitalise on the potential offered by key Council-owned sites located alongside high volume traffic flows. We have identified a number of locations, which are in the Council's control, where fixed site or trailer mounted digital advertising screens could be located. In particular, we have 4 potential sites alongside the M3 motorway in Farnborough and a number of sites alongside the A325/A3011 in Farnborough and A323 in Aldershot. These routes experience extensive commuter traffic to locally based high-tech industries and international headquarters. In addition, the Borough is home to the biennial Farnborough International Airshow (www.farnborough.com) and has major event and conference facilities, which are expected to expand significantly in the next 2 years (www.farnboroughfive.com/) These attract large numbers of visitors to the area and provide a unique opportunity to provide digital advertising to these audiences. The Council are seeking interest from the market for the supply and installation of fixed site screens alongside the roads identified above and the supply of a 6m x 3m trailer mounted mobile screen. We would like to gauge the interest from the market in supplying and managing advertising for the screens and we require to discuss this further with potential providers before we progress further with this potential procurement project.
