Support Service for people with dementia and memory problems. North Tyneside Council and North Tyneside Clinical Commissioning Group are planning to tender for service to support people with memory problems and dementia. All interested suppliers are invited to attend our event taking place on the 18th July 2016 at the Langdale Centre, Howdon, NE28 OHG from 10am -12pm. This event is your opportunity to inform and shape the service within North Tyneside as a key stakeholders your views are very important to us. If you intend to attend the event please complete the attendee details form attached and return to Judith.robson@northtyneside.gov.uk by noon on the 14th July 2016. Due to space restrictions a maximum of two people per organisation will be allowed. Please note that the Council and CCG are looking for a service to replace the current Memory Support Service as the contract is due to expire. This service will encourage and support people who are worried about their memory to seek a memory assessment. The service will also provide a local point of contact for people with dementia and their family or carers across all stages of their journey, from diagnosis through to end-of-life, providing advice and signposting as and when required. The provider will also provide emotional support to people with dementia and their carers. This event is an opportunity to review what is currently in place in North Tyneside and help shape the specification for the new service. Keywords: Memory Support, Dementia
