Tender description

A national framework agreement for the provision of highway electrical connections on DNO networks (i.e. contestable works under Competition in Connection launched by Ofgem) and private cables. The framework will also cover minor installation works and fault finding on private cables. All suppliers must be accredited under the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS) presently operated by Lloyds Register. The requirement is split into 2 lots. Tenders can be submitted for 1 or both lots. The framework does not cover Northern Ireland. Lot 1 is for Highway Electrical Connections on DNO/IDNOs networks (Contestable Works) provided by Independent Connection Providers. As a Central Purchasing Body as defined by the EU Procurement Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, the Framework Agreement is open for use by the following classifications of user throughout all administrative regions of the UK (excluding Northern Ireland): Local Authority Councils; Educational Establishments (including Academies); Central Government Departments and Agencies and Local Government Departments and Agencies; Police, Fire and Rescue and Coastguard Emergency Services; NHS and HSC Bodies, including Ambulance Services; Registered Charities; Registered Social Landlords; any Public Body established by or under the Scotland Act 1998 or any Act of the Scottish Parliament.
