Refuse-collection vehicles

Tender description

The Bristol Waste Company (BWC) is the sole provider of domestic waste collection and recycling services across all wards of the City of Bristol. BWC wishes to rationalise its' operational fleet of refuse collection vehicles for the medium term and intends to either purchase 10 additional refuse collection vehicles or to hire them on a 2 year contract hire basis. The Bristol Waste Company (BWC) requires 10 refuse collection vehicles, 3 of 18t minimum gross capacity and 7 of 26t minimum gross capacity — all vehicles must be of a maximum width of 2.25m and have Terberg rear split bins. The vehicles will be an integral part of BWCs domestic waste collection operation within the City of Bristol — as such they will be required to access both the narrow and twisting thoroughfares of the old city as well as the wider expanses of the domestic housing belt that surrounds it.
