Railway construction works

Tender description

Iarnród Éireann proposes to establish a multi-party framework agreement for Civil Engineering and Building Works associated with the upgrading of the railway infrastructure and any other works that IE or CIE may undertake on their properties under the following Lots: — Lot 1 — Building Works; — Lot 2 — Civil Engineering Works. The extent and details of these works will vary from location to location. Project works shall be awarded in separate packages based on the ‘Call Off’ set out in the Framework Agreement. It is anticipated that the value of individual Works Packages awarded under this Framework Agreement will not exceed 100 000 EUR excluding VAT. This Framework Agreement will operate for a period of 4 years with the option to extend for an additional year. Small Civil Engineering Works associated with the upgrading of the railway infrastructure and any other Works which IE or CIE may undertake on their properties. The project works values up to 100 000 EUR will include but are not limited to any of the following: — Any works required to facilitate construction of new platforms and/or extension and upgrading of existing platforms; — Construction of footbridges and any associated lift installations; — Access points; — Any works required to facilitate bridge widening, bridge replacement, bridge closures, road realignments, access roads, etc.; — Alterations to existing railway under-bridges or over-bridges; — Construction of roads, earthworks, drainage, boundary treatment and minor civil engineering and building works; — Demolition of existing railway structures; — Embankment/cutting works including widening, strengthening and repair; — Any works required to facilitate the relocation of services adjacent to the railway; — Foundation works, ground engineering and geo-technical processes; — All associated temporary works to ensure the continued operation of the railway. Small Building Works associated with the upgrading of the railway infrastructure and any other Works which IE or CIE may undertake on their properties. The project works values up to 100 000 EUR will include but are not limited to any of the following: — Small building works; — Works on listed structures; — Works on listed buildings; — Removal, relocation of and/or modifications to existing structures and buildings.
