Legal Services (Extensions and Challenges to Interim Orders, S40 Appeals and Judicial Reviews)

Tender description

The GMC requires agent solicitors to provide legal services to allow the GMC to: 1. apply for and successfully obtain HCEs where required; 2. successfully defend Interim Order Challenges, Section 40 Appeals and other litigation as required from time to time. 3. act as the GMC's preferred legal services supplier for any other legal advice the organisation might require from time to time in Scotland The service provider will be required to identify and instruct Counsel acceptable to the GMC, subject to the GMC's requirements as detailed in this Tender and as otherwise stipulated by the GMC from time to time. This Tender does not include provision of legal or advocacy services in relation to proceedings before the IOP or FTPP, or the provision of services outside Scotland.
