Tender description

The University of Sheffield is out to tender on behalf of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering for an Automated Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) Cluster Tool. We require a new Automated Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) Cluster Tool for the creation of high quality ordered nanostructures based on III-V Quantum Dots (QDs). This system will complement a range of existing growth and fabrication facilities with the EPSRC National Centre for III-V Technologies, based at the University. A major application will be the growth of ultra-pure III-Arsenide materials and In(Ga)As QD based structures for a wide range of researchers based both in Sheffield and throughout the UK funded by EPSRC grants. Our requirement is split into 3 Lots: Lot 1 — MBE system Lot 2 — Surface analysis equipment Lot 3 — In-situ monitoring equipment This is an open EU procurement procedure.
