Geographic information systems (GIS or equivalent)

Tender description

Scottish Water is planning to replace its current GIS application and a number of associated systems with a new GIS application. Scottish Water's strategy is not to customise standard application packages, but will adapt its own business processes to align with it and / or provide additional functionality through services out-with the standard application. Scottish Water uses and intends to continue to use the GIS system to maintain records for below ground assets and another system, Ellipse, for the above ground assets. There is a close coupling required between these 2 systems. It is estimated that c. 3 000 users will require access to the GIS system.
