Tender description

In accordance with best procurement practice, EU and UK Procurement Directives and Regulations, East Kent Housing (EKH), wishes to create an Agreement (the agreement) for the supply of Insurances Services. East Kent Housing Limited (EKH) is an ‘arms-length management organisation’ (ALMO) that was set-up, and is owned by, Canterbury City Council, Dover District Council, Shepway District Council and Thanet District Council, to manage their respective council social housing services. The organisation is run by an independent management board, which includes tenants, independent members and councillors, but remains accountable through a 30 year contract with the 4 councils. Unlike other ALMOs, the purpose of East Kent Housing is not to gain decent homes funding, but as a way of finding efficiencies and improvements by bringing 4 organisations together. The purpose is improving the service we deliver, whilst delivering value for money to our customers and owners. EKH is looking for a supplier or suppliers who are able to fulfil its Insurance requirements subject to the demonstration of best value. The Insurances required as a minimum are: — Material Damage; — Employer's Liability; — Public/Products Liability; — Director and Officers' Liability; — Cyber Liability; — Fidelity Guarantee; — Motor Insurance; — Legal Expenses and Employment Practices Liability.
