Tender description
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) requires the services of a Consultancy firm with expertise in civil and marine engineering to prepare detailed design, tender documentation, Works and handover Stage for the West Pier Pontoon and Middle Pier Upgrade projects at Howth Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Dublin. The West Pier Pontoon project involves the following broad parameters; • Provision of Pontoons 33m in length and 6m in width, together with piles to sustain the required imposed berthing loads and a gangway to provide pedestrian access from the West Pier to the new Pontoon. The Middle Pier Upgrade project involves the following broad parameters; • Provision of 130m long quay wall at Middle Pier with associated deck area behind new structure. • Dredging for a basin to 4m Chart Datum along the new quay wall. The Dredging will involve the removal of approximately 5,000m3 of the underlying seabed material (including rock). Some of the seabed material is contaminated with TBT. • Land Reclamation of approximately 0.16 acres on east side of Middle Pier. • Adequate road access, hardstanding and parking areas to be provided adjacent to the new quay wall.
