Construction work for water and sewage pipelines

Tender description

— Replacement of approx. 4km of water mains (dia. ranging from approx. 75mm-225mm) to be installed using open cut techniques; — Approx. 2,2km of new trunk mains (dia. ranging from approx. 100mm-200mm) using open cut techniques; — Replacement of approx. 1km of backyard distribution water mains; — Replacement of approx. 110 no backyard domestic customer service connections with individual front of property service connections (to include house surveys and connection design); — Removal of 10 No Storm-water Overflows; — Approx. 4,8km of combined sewer (dia. ranging from approx. 225mm-1 200mm); — Approx. 0,7km of storm-drains (dia. ranging from approx. 300mm-525mm); — Provision of a 560mm dia. PE pipe (ID 495mm) combined sewer underneath the bed of the St Patrick's Place, Culvert on the Bridewell River for a length of 155m from New Road along St Patrick's Place to Market Quay; — A new screened emergency overflow from the Glasslyn Road, Prelim. Treatment works to the River Bandon and Associated Site-works. Irish Water plans to undertake the construction of: — Removal of 10 No Storm-water Overflows; — New sections of combined sewer; — New sections of storm drains; — New sections of water mains; — Replacement of defective water mains; — Replacement of backyard and lead/copper service connections; — Associated ancillary works.
