PURCH1350 — A PQQ for the Supply of a High Vacuum Environmental Chamber. PQQ documents available from Public Contracts Scotland. The University of Glasgow has been awarded a European Space Agency project to design a test facility to examine plume-regolith interactions. We are currently in the preliminary design stage with ESA. It is expected that the facility detailed requirements will be defined by University of Glasgow and ESA by October 2016, and depending on the internal tendering procedures, the tender will go out soon afterwards. According to the project schedule manufacture will have to start in Dec. 2016 and the final facility has to be commissioned on-site at the University of Glasgow's Acre Road Facility by June 2017. The supplier will only be in contact with the University of Glasgow and it is expected that the supplier will also be involved in the design of the facility commencing from now until the acceptance of the final design by ESA. The requirements of the facility are driven by requirements from both ESA and University of Glasgow. These requirements drive the design of the entire system. It will be the responsibility of the supplier to provide design suggestions that will meet all performance requirements of the facility.
