Timber Treatment for timber products produced by Prison Industries. The SPS wishes to contract out the provision of treatment of timber services for SPS Prison Industries. The objective of this tender exercise is to identify a suitable Supplier for the SPS to work with to satisfy their requirements. SPS Prison Industries provide opportunities for offenders to engage in production workshops to enable them to gain realistic work skills which could enhance their employability prospects upon release. The Purchaser has 6 main prison industry workshops located in Central Scotland that manufacture timber components and products. These workshops use various types of timber to produce products to meet the demands of both internal SPS requirements and external revenue customers.
