Tender description

Denbighshire County Council is modernising all of its in-house care services. Following a consultation, the Council seeks an innovative and progressive partner to take over the running of our 30 bedded care home in Denbigh. Whilst we are currently registered to provide residential care, we are looking for a partner to develop the building to deliver quality elderly mental health (EMH) residential and day care on the site. An experienced and well trained council team presently support 23 residents and 15 in day care. The council has made a commitment to continue to provide care and support for the current service users whilst any development is taking place. The Council would like to invite Providers with experience in running a registered EMH residential care home to discuss these plans further. Partners for this project will demonstrate a clear vision for the development of the site, with a focus on promoting independence and well-being. Partners would share the vision to maintain social care values, including the Welsh language and culture and continue the positive relationships with the local community. This is an exciting opportunity for a provider with expertise and a proven track record in providing a similar service, to run and transform a well-established and valued residential home, with skilled and experienced staff. The commissioned provider will continue to deliver high quality support for older people in a homely environment, offering value for money and delivering outcomes to meet the needs of the community.
