Tender description

Denbighshire County Council is modernising all of its in-house care services. Following a consultation, the Council now seeks innovative and progressive partner(s) to take over the running of our well-equipped day care centre in Rhyl. This will include managing the building and delivering/procuring services under a commissioned contract. A small council team currently provides a limited day care service for 18 older people with multiple and complex needs. The centre is also used by a number of groups and tenants from a neighbouring sheltered accommodation complex. The centre has the capacity to provide much more. We are looking for partners to provide a wider range of activities for the local community, helping to develop the potential and promote the independence, choice and control of older people, in keeping with the aspirations of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act. The Council would like to invite Providers with either/or experience in the delivery of quality support services and/or experience in engaging local community and/or experience of managing buildings for social care enterprises to discuss these plans further. Partners for this project will demonstrate a clear vision for the development of the centre, with a focus on promoting independence and well-being, taking into account Welsh language and culture. Partners would share the vision to develop a flourishing community facility and to promote positive relationships with the local community. This is an exciting opportunity for a provider with expertise and a proven track record in working with older people, to run and transform a well-established and valued centre, with skilled and experienced staff.
