Tender description

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council currently operates a grounds maintenance machinery repair workshop which covers the majority of the repairs and servicing of the existing machinery assets. The purpose of this framework will be to supply various spare parts to the Council's grounds maintenance machinery workshops based in the borough of Southend-on-Sea. The Council also has a Framework Agreement for grounds maintenance machinery servicing and repairs and the supply of machinery parts may also extend to supplement this Agreement. The length of the contract to supply machinery parts is 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years. It is envisaged that the Council will set up a Framework Agreement for each Lot, with up to 7 Contractors. The indicative spend by the Council per Lot is as follows: Lot 1 Mower Parts (100 000 GBP per annum) Lot 2 Batteries (2 000 GBP per annum) Lot 3 Tyres and Tubes (30 000 GBP per annum) Lot 4 Hydraulic Pipes and Connections (5 000 GBP per annum).
