The notice involves a public contract. The Community Equipment Service (CES) is a support service which procures, delivers, collects and where appropriate recycles items of both nursing and social care Powered by BravoSolution eSourcing Technology 7 / 22 equipment which have been prescribed by clinicians for individuals living in Lancashire (excluding Blackpool). Typical store items are mattresses, electric profiling beds, hoists, commodes etc. There are 3 distinct elements associated with the provision of Community Equipment: — Simple Aids for daily living (SADLs) low cost, low complexity items) without electrical or hydraulic parts. The vast majority of these sit outside the CES service and are provided by a network of local retailers, via a local Authority administrated retail model. A limited range of SADLs will still be stocked and provided via CES. — Complex Aids for daily living (CADLs) which may have electrical or hydraulic parts are on the CES catalogue. — Bespoke Special Items of Equipment — Complex items not available from stock which may have electrical or hydraulic parts. The item is procured by CES via the procurement processes of the provider organisation and according to prescriber's specification. This service supplies equipment to both Adult and Paediatric individuals.
