Tender description

Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council invites interested parties to participate in preliminary market engagement activities and information sharing as it looks to shape provision of its local services for individuals assessed as eligible for support from social care. The aim is to ensure local quality provision to support individuals with a broad range of complex needs. The project will consider the process and services required from the point at which an assessment has been completed and eligibility established, to ultimately ensure that individuals are enabled to develop a personalised support plan that makes best use of all available resources to meet their needs. The support plan and services resulting from it will be personalised, flexible and promote independence. Whilst it is currently anticipated that a procurement exercise will take place following market engagement, Doncaster Council is not in a position to guarantee this is, as it will be dependant on a number of factors including feedback from any engagement activities If subsequently a procurement exercise is undertaken it is anticipated it will be conducted under the regulations of the light touch regime. Current thinking favours a final delivery model in the form of a dynamic purchasing system/open framework arrangement, however this again will be influenced and refined through further engagement and commissioning activity before a final model is adopted.
