Tender description

Portsmouth City Council ‘the Authority’ has awarded contracts to provide Day Services in Portsmouth. The Service was split into 3 Lots: Lot 1 — Health and Independence Services; Lot 2 — Employment/Work Services; Lot 3 — Community Connection Services. Following evaluation the decision was made not to award Lot 3. The contract will commence in July 2016. The contract period for Lot 1 will be for an initial period of 2 years with a further 12 month optional extension. The contract period for Lot 2 will be for an initial period of 3 years, with a further 12 month optional extension. To create a Health and Independence service for the city focusing on meaningful activities that promote health, well-being and independence for individuals by developing individual's skills and abilities. This service will operate out of 4 buildings within the City and will be awarded to up to 4 organisations. To develop 1 City wide Employment/Work service identifying work opportunities, providing support for individuals to successfully apply for paid work, volunteering and education and training opportunities. The service will help individuals to maintain the placements, and support people to move on to further opportunities that use the skills developed. A single supplier will be awarded the contract for Lot 2.
