Tender description

This is for the replacement of the CELL-DYN 3700 Differential Heamatology Analyser currently in use in the Clinical Laboratories of MRC Gambia. The CELL-DYN 3700 has produced precise and accurate haematological indices results, which has greatly contributed to patient management, successful clinical trials and other scientific research in the Unit. However, the Cell-dyn 3700 has far exceeded its life expectancy and obsolete; resulting in frequent breakdown and inability to efficiently support the delivery of clinical care to patients and study subjects as spare are not readily available. This has also resulted in high repair cost, equipment downtime, wastage resulting from recalibrations and retesting. Quality of service to patient is compromised with a high risk on the Unit’s ISO 15189 accreditation status.
