Tender description

Drainage Services to properties managed and maintained by Derby Homes, comprising: unblocking of drains; pipework; cleaning; CCTV Surveys and general drainage repairs to Social Housing, Public Buildings, Void Properties including out-of-hours calls, all within the City of Derby boundary. Derby Homes is looking to enter into a formal agreement for 4 years (2 years with an extension for 2 years) for Drainage Services to any of the properties that are either managed or maintained by Derby Homes including Derby City Council's Housing Stock, Derby City Council's Public Buildings, Void Properties and properties owned by other Social Housing providers where certain repairs are managed by Derby Homes. Drainage Services out of normal daytime working hours (i.e. between 17:00 and 8:00) will also be required. The services required are all within the City of Derby boundary. Full details are given in the tender documents. Derby Homes considers that TUPE is likely to apply on the commencement of the contract. If TUPE does apply, those employees of the incumbent service provider who are assigned to providing the service that is transferred under the contract will become employees of the new service provider on their existing terms and conditions. Tenderers are required to sign a Confidentiality Undertaking in order to receive the TUPE information. This should be done as soon as possible to enable the TUPE information to be provided in time for tenderers to take it into account in their pricing. Derby Homes is acting in good faith in providing such TUPE information but it is not able to warrant the accuracy of any TUPE information or whether or not TUPE will actually apply. All tenderers are recommended to undertake their own assessment of the applicability of TUPE and of the TUPE information provided.
