The detailled design of the approach roads and associated works for the cockhill bridge road realignment

Tender description

This is a tender for the detailled design of the roads element of road realignment project. The project also includes a bridge structure which has been designed by a third party. The successful candidate will be require to liaise with the bridge design consultant to ensure consistency of design. The successfull candidiate will be required to progress the prelininary road design to provide a suite of detailled design drawings for construction by the clients direct labour. The successful candidate shall design the approach roads, side roads and footways from formation to finish level and design the associated works including signs and road markings, safety barriers, street lighting drainage and service requirements. The works shall be constructed in three phase phase 1 road construction undertaken by DCC's direct labour, phase 2 bridge construction undertaken by a experienced contractor and and phase 3 road construction undertaken by DCC's direct labour. The successful candidiate shall be appointed as PSDP for the project and shall oversee the works from from design through construction to handover for phases 1 and 3 of this project.
