Tender description

Each year the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government runs the Community Smoke Alarm Scheme. Under the scheme, local authorities will, with the assistance of the voluntary sector and others who visit persons in vulnerable households, identify those households where there are no smoke alarms and will arrange for the supply and installation of two smoke alarms in each such household. This tender is for the supply and delivery of 10 Year Battery Power Sealed Ionisation Alarms and 10 Year Battery Powered Optical Alarms. Expressions of Interest have been sought from the Local Authorities. These Expressions of Interest are included in the tender request and show how many of each alarm type will be delivered to the 25 participating Local Authorities.
